Lana Ogilvie, Canadian Supermodel

Posted on October 12, 2021February 4, 2022

By Anna Ludmirsky,

Lana Ogilvie is a Canadian supermodel with over 30+ years in the modeling and skincare industry. Lana was scouted at her high school’s fashion show when she was just a teenager, quickly sprouting and blooming an illustrious and extensive career. While being featured in multiple Vogue magazines around the world, from British to German, Italian and Australian Vogues, Ogilvie also modeled for designers such as Prada, Issey Miyake, Lagerfeld, and quite a few more. In 1992, she became the first Black model to sign an exclusive contract with CoverGirl, paving the way for more BIPOC models to have a breakthrough in the industry. While being an ambassador for CoverGirl, she was also a part of the Black Girls’ Coalition; a group that spoke up and honed in on the lack of diversity in the fashion world, both on the runway and in magazines. Nowadays, Lana Ogilvie has moved on from modeling and mainly focuses on her skincare line as she oftentimes pays tribute to her flawless skin for her career in modeling. Through this skincare line, she hopes to be the reason for people to love their skin.
